What a great day we had last Friday as one of our outdoor leaders had a great evening paddling with some guests exploring the canal. During their journey they got close to a heron, spotted lots of birds, fish and lovely dragon flies . At the half way point we headed into the stables for a well earned break and drink before returning to our start point by an old haunted church in Cadder.
Hilary and Tam took a recce trip along the Middle Kelvin from Kirkintilloch to Torrance. It was Tam’s first venture down the Luggie (lesser water). We saw a goosander, heron, buzzard, greater spotted woodpecker (and heard), grey wagtail and merganser! Come on one of these trips and see the wildlife for yourself.
